Bio
Alicia Cassat is the Chief People Officer at H&B Defence, based in Henderson, Western Australia.
Alicia’s career spans more than 20 years within Human Resources in the defence sector, with extensive experience in business transformation, organisational development, change management, working within complex joint venture structures.
Her career in the defence sector commenced in 2000 at Thales where Alicia held various HR roles until 2016. Following this, Alicia moved to Naval Ship Management (NSM) in 2017, a joint venture between UGL and Babcock, where she held various positions including Head of People and Performance.
In 2022, Babcock took full ownership of the joint venture and Alicia played a key role in leading the people integration activities of NSM into Babcock.
During her time at Babcock, Alicia held the position of Head of HR Projects which involved working on strategic HR initiatives. Alicia was also the chairperson for Inclusion and Diversity for Babcock’s Australasian region.
Alicia holds a Masters of Industrial Relations and Human Resource Management from Sydney University and is a member of the Australian Human Resources Institute.
